More About PayPal Logos
PayPal was founded in 1998 as a payment processor for online vendors. It charges a small fee for its services and enables users to pay for online products or services without revealing their credit card information to the vendor.
The PayPal logo hasn’t changed much in the short time the company has been in existence. The initial logo was the PayPal name in blue outlined letters filled with white. The new logo is the name, PayPal, with dark blue letters for the “Pay” part of the name and lighter blue letters for the “Pal” part of the name.PayPal auctioned off the sign with the original logo, which once hung in its headquarters. The proceeds from that auction were donated to the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Although PayPal’s logo didn’t change much between the first and second version, the company was heavily criticized within the logo and online retail industry for changing its logo. Consumers are especially concerned about giving their credit card information to online sites, and rightfully so. When PayPal redesigned its logo, there were concerns that scammers would more easily be able to create similar versions of the logo to scam customers. Also when the logo is placed on colorful backgrounds, it doesn’t provide good contrast.
To use the code for the PayPal logo provided on this site, simply copy and paste the HTML code provided into your website’s coding in the appropriate place.
